Thanks for the link though.

oh my gosh. seeing that link makes me so nervous…i don’t know how i’m going to make it till december :/

Penn was sooooo fast on getting all of my materials

Pitt is still telling me they don’t have my SAT scores that I sent October 18

maani9422, Pitt?

And also, who else hasnt gotten an interview? I just want to have some idea

still no interview

I had an interview at the school of nursing (it’s required for nursing applicants) but no alumni interview

My name is Gavin and I applied ED on 10/29/11

I applied to CAS
I’m from Southern California
I am crazy nervous cause Penn is my #1 school!

:D

So hello haha

no interview for me either
but I asked someone from my school that applied last year ED and he got an interview really late
so Ill prolly get mine late too

had my interview today,

very interesting lasted 2 hrs.

asked normal questions, why penn, describe yourself, what makes penn unique etc etc

haha not sure what the question is aleesha…University of Pittsburgh?

wow, 2 hours? mine was only an hour

Hey everybody,

I applied to CAS (turned app on 10/29/11)

I got my interview request exactly 3 days later (on 11/2/11) and had mine on 11/5/11
It was a pretty good hour and a half interview though =)

Good luck to everybody!

(I’m going to die waiting for the next 4 weeks…)

I just got my interview notice today. I sent my application in around 26th October and I was getting worried haha. What should I do to prepare for the interview? This will be my first one ever :S

@jaysunlin
I would organize your ideas for why Penn and what you want to do/what you’re interested in. It’s pretty fun and stimulating. If you have nothing to hide and you were honest on your application, just be yourself.

@maani ooohh haha my name isn’t aleesha
yeah i was just wondering what you meant by Pitt.
i mean, i’m not from the east coast so i’m not applying to schools like Pitt and whatnot. sorry can’t help you.

Ohhh and I really want an interview

I had my interview last Tuesday. It went well…lasted about an hour and a half. It was not as conversational as I had envisioned, but that just seemed to be his personality. By the end of the interview, I was pretty sure he liked me.

Three and a half weeks till decisions…Anyone here from Southern California?

So for the past hour, I have been thoroughly perusing the posts on this thread…

Here is my late response:
Applying ED to Vagelos LSM :)

1) My favorite aspect of Penn is everything imaginable. Benjamin Franklin and the overall atmosphere are good enough reasons. Add top ranked programs with an interdisciplinary emphasis, competitive Indians and Wharton to that list. I guess I’ll finish with OMG Penn Masala & OMG they have a club Tae Kwon Do team!

2) Ahhh yes, of course I visited the campus! Love the campus (I mean come on, who doesn’t love locusts?). Philly is certainly no New York City but the city has its charms and I personally don’t mind the weather (I was born and bred in cold northern states anyway).

3) My least favorite part about Penn is dealing with people who know their stuff but ask questions like, “Wait, what’s the difference between like Penn and like UPenn and like Penn State like which one is the ivy league?” <- But that’s not the school’s fault.

4) I want to go there mostly because I’m looking forward to an awesome future in a career that I love.

5) The first thing I’ll do if I find out I got in is hug family/update Facebook Status/order Penn shirts/party it up because senior year is over in my mind! (JK about that last part… we’re all nerds at heart. But seriously, this would be a dream-come-true!!!)

P.S. I also had my alumni interview (first ever) last weekend! It wasn’t conversational as I had hoped… it was more like a really long question and answer session and she took notes while I was speaking. Overall, though, I think it went well. :D

Hello everyone! Was rly interested in this post and had to register an account just for this!

Am applying to the Jerome Fisher Program, so I’m (hopefully) going to Wharton and SEAS.

Submitted my app mid Oct, am having an alumni interview this sat! Hope it will be conversational unlike what you guys have mentioned :S Will rly love to ask the alumni more about life at penn!

Nope, I didn’t do that 150 word optional essay. Thought i portrayed myself clearly enough through the other essays (an additional jerome fisher essay!)

And yea, I’m from Singapore! About to complete my national service and can’t wait to get back to a serene lifestyle again :)

@sweetpuri oh my goodness I can’t even tell you how many people have asked if I was applying to Penn State when I said I applied early decision to Penn… ahhhh :/

Hi,
I applied to the Huntsman Program and to Wharton (if I don’t get into Huntsman). I submitted my application on 10/29 and already had an interview but mine was only about 45 minutes.
I am from Boston, Mass. May the luck of the Irish be with you all!
