yay for us!

Nice! I hate this, I can’t login. I emailed them telling them to reset my password. This is the 2nd time I’m resetting it because for some reason it says my password is wrong all the time. Argh! I hope the helpdesk sorts this out very soon so I can check. I’m 100% sure the website I’m trying to log in at is correct, but could someone post the website when you log in? Thanks!

^- that is the website you log in for your application status. You can also check your financial aid status to see if they have received everything.

^- and this the website that will answer a lot of your questions if regarding the log in and password.

I got my 2009/2010 package today. It’s pretty much the same as the one I got for spring…admissions letter+ a bunch of brochures.

When is the decision date for you guys?

technically it’s mid-april, but as you might already know, the transfer admission deadline was pushed back from march 15 to march 31 due to a record number of high school applicants so… who knows… mid-may?

I’m really annoyed. I’m applying from Canada and I sent in my application fee (check/cheque) 10 days ago from within the US so that it would be quicker. And they say they haven’t received it yet and obviously, they haven’t updated the status of the application materials. If anyone else here sent a cheque, did you send it to:

Cornell University
Transfer Admissions
P.O. Box 6411
Ithaca, NY
14851-6411

Is this the correct address?

I think the decision would be release around start of may. And the address does look right. I’m to lazy to look at my transfer folder and look for the address. Why did you pay online or did money order?

zirtico, I am Canadian as well. Last semester I sent some financial aid stuff from Canada and it took it about 3 weeks to reach Cornell. I wouldn’t really worry about it…they will process your application as long as the postmark date is before the deadline.

If you can, it would be better to send it through US mail(If you live near the US)…or you can just send it through priority mail(3-7 days).

Mid-April or Early may? Lol, that sounds like a long wait. I remember the day we got decisions last semester…You open up your self service account and there’s a “check decision” tab. If you get in, there’s a big picture of people kayaking with “Congratulations” in 1000 size font. They also have a short generic message welcoming you to the university…

Good luck!

I accidentally hit fee waiver instead of credit card and Cornell couldn’t reverse that so they made me mail a cheque in. And zakaqel, I DID send the cheque in from within the US. My parents were south of the border and they mailed it while they were there. I’m in Montreal and mailing from Montreal, I was told it would take about 5 business days. I’d expect it to take less from within the States, but at any rate, it was sent in 10 days ago. I don’t see how they couldn’t have gotten it unless it got lost. Anyway, I’ll call them and tell them to re-check tomorrow. I don’t want my application being the last to be evaluated after everyone has been accepted and then be rejected. I submitted my stuff on or before due date because of that reason. Anyway, we’ll see what they say.

zirtico, although Cornell does have rolling-addmissions, they don’t have a definite quota for the number of transfer student they can take(at least that’s what I heard). So, if you are a qualified candidate, they will accept you no matter how late you applied.

okay okay the website says that my application is UNDER REVIEW now.
from my experience last year it was 1-2 weeks after being “under review” before I got my decision…

Good to know :)
