^-- yeah i will lol. I’m going to call the financial aid again tomorrow. When I sent in my financial aid stuff, I sent it in one big envelope. So they should of received everything at the same time from me right?

I’m in the same situation dragon. I sent everything in one envelope and I don’t think they’ve updated it on the Financial Aid status.

The financial aid office was approximately 6 weeks behind with freshman FA applications. The office has more than likely received your FA forms, but they haven’t been able to process and upload them to your application.

so, anyone receive their pin yet to login to the new system? I can’t even access the FinAid part of the old system anymore. just get that generic message.

So… they WILL still have time to tell us if we are missing anything, right? April is progressing fast!

Also: did I make a mistake self reporting my 2002 SAT scores? (610 verbal/ 550 math…) I put them in the common app because I knew my high school would send them automatically with my transcript. But now I’m wondering if maybe I had left them out, it would have been better.

They are so old… Surely the admissions committees will realize those old scores give absolutely no indication of my current abilities… right?

They’ll definitely let you know if anything is missing from your application.

im just buggin out noww…

I think realistically, decisions will start coming out early May at the earliest. They’ve postponed 2 weeks because of the freshman applicants, and they haven’t even updated the status of the admissions materials for the transfers on the website. It’s going to be a long and very painful wait for us I feel.

Such a pessimist Zirtico. Ha ha.

I’m a realist ;-)

Hi everyone I’m currently a high school senior. I’m graduating in june in the top 10 percent, my gpa is pretty good but here’s the catch: my SAT scores blow! I mean they really are bad, not the “oh god I have a over 2000 score” I’m in the 1700’s realm. Yeah I know. High school always seemed frivolous to me and needless to say I was rejected this last week. I’m okay with the decision I plan on going to a mediocre state school and hopefully will be able to transfer. For me the motto has always been “go big or go home” in this case I’m staying home. I decided to stay home and attend the state school in hopes that I can reapply and perhaps have a better shot.

I need some help though, I think the essay portion for transfers is like the second biggest thing. I have no idea what the essay is or what to write about. Any suggestions or comments would be greatly appreciated. You can pm if you need more info or if it’s too personal to talk about. But I’d love to hear it! =] Thanks everyone, and good luck!

so yeah, i was just doing more research and found out that Cornell’s mascot is a bear! So that means I can get a bear tattoo since I’m a Cal Bear fan (UC Berkeley) and those folks at Cornell will just see it as Big Red pride! (kidding)

geez, i am so stoked to hear back from Cornell!

i’m pretty amped about it. April seems to be going by already…

BrandNew:

Brand New played at my school last night…just thought I’d mention it.

So a lot of you are like music majors and applying for some kind of music major at cornell?

no way, i just do it for fun. i’m going for hospitality management. :D

I’m applying to ILR, but I sent in music supplements. I could have easily applied as a CAS Music major, but I’m planning on minoring as of now. My interest is film scoring (movie music composer), so as long as I have the skills, I don’t need the actual degree.

burton:
