Hehe, when did they become “under review” ilivefree?

dragon, i admire your spirit and your love for cornell; that’s awesome. i wish i was closer so i could visit and fall in love like that, but from what i’ve learned, i have a good feeling about that school. it seems like there is lots of school spirit on campus, and i’m all about that!

zirtico; dunno, like a week or so ago? i can’t remember. my sense of time doesn’t function very well in the middle of a semester like this one (taking 17 units and working 32 hours a week). all i know is that i should see something soon! before end of april for sure, and that’s swell!

If it was a week ago, then my guess is that you’ll get a decision this week. But that’s me.

that’d be cool. really. i’ve been talking to a fella out there about apartments for my family for Fall or Spring, so I’m ready to start squaring up plans if I get in. i’m still waiting on other schools, including yale, but my gut tells me cornell. i don’t know why, and my gut rarely tells me anything, but i figure i’ll listen this time.

Yale. wow. Good luck on that too, where would you go if you got both place?

thanks ilivefree!!! I mean i completely fell in love with Cornell. Everything about cornell is just a dream come true! I am glad that I got to know my decision! hehe. i hope I get to see you guys on campus!!

zirtico. oh, that is SUCH A TOUGH CHOICE!!! it depends on a few factors, one of which is will yale let me double major in anthropology and art. cornell won’t. they said i can take art classes, but no double major as a transfer.

i would probably call the anthro departments in both schools and really grill them regarding my area of interest. both lists of faculty are a good match; i would seek to figure out which is the BEST match. this is not so easy to do from california.

other problem, i don’t know about yale till june. i applied to their adult program and i don’t even know if i made the “to be interviewed” list yet. :|

alas. patience is a virtue to be sure.

right on dragon, super duper cool. if some of us end up on cornell campus from CC and are over 21, we’ll have to meet up for pints.

haha, I’m sure we can meet up for pints without being over 21!

I second the above

“teen drinking is very bad–I got a fake id though…”

had to quote the song

that’s a great idea.

oh geez… i think i would then be held accountable for “contribution to deliquence of a minor”. but heck, coffee works too. :)

Good. Who drinks only past 21?

i now have a shortcut below teh address bar in my browser just for Cornell’s status page haha…just one click away

i may be grabbing at straws here, but from last years thread:

they seem to update the status with decisions around 1-130am…idk

Eastern time?

i would think so…

but i’m only ASSUMING this because a few apps said they got their notifications through the website status after 1-1:30am while checking it freq. before 12:30am.

I wouldnt be surprised actually…

maybe the system automatically updates, or is set to update, at that time?

i’m stressing that this is my own person conclusion and can very much be worthless/wrong.

yeah…the time period was generally 12:00AM to like 7 or 8 in the morning

although i think they’re was one person if i remember correctly whose status changed during the day…but definintely almost always after midnight til early morning
