my transfer advisor said that the counselors sometimes call the accepted students when theyve established that contact or something… who knows

Redsoxgirl, I can only speak and guess for CAS, but I think you’re more likely to get an answer out them if you have a deposit deadline coming up for another school. There’s generally a few days between when the decision is made and when the decision is posted online - if they already have made a decision for you and you have a deposit to make in the immediate future, I can’t see them not telling you. Just my opinion though.

So what was up with my case then? lol Cuz well I didn’t have any special contacts with them or anything. I just submitted my application… I think they like my essay :)… lol i dont know… hehe.

oh crap. i forgot to account for the fact that i’m a junior transfer…maybe i won’t hear back this week…meh

IMPORTANT STUFF FOR ILR APPLICANTS:

Actual email from Ian:

My heart jumped a little when I saw an email from him - I half though it was a decision.

"Hi Violaghost,

Letters will be sent out and the status page will be updated at approximately the same time. Some decisions have been made, but most will not be made until the end of April. - Ian"

hey does anybody know how long it usually takes for the status page to change from green marks to the “under review” message?

Lol Violaghost. When I got my decision, the subject was “Congratulations! Welcome to Cornell!” I thought what? Is this a fake? Lol I thought someone was trying to mess me up or something. But when i open that email. it said congratulations! hehe… :)

I wonder who the decisions have been made for already. Like, maybe they were just for GT’s. I’m applying for sophomore status and I sent in my application for ILR at the end of January, so I’m beginning to get very anxious.

The GT’s should of got their decisions way before us regular transfers right?

they seemed to get them last year first, but not “way before”

@ Burtonboarder I got my decisions like 1 or 2 week after the site was up… I got my pretty fast… And I’m not a GT.

according to last year, sophomore transfers seemed to get decisions before junior transfers. fyi.

well…■■■

Hmm interesting stuff, Viola. When Ian says “some decision have been made” it is very possible he is referring to GTs. But Honestly, I really don’t expect any of us ILRies to receive a decision before late April (earliest April 25th possibly). And maybe a longer wait than that if you’re a junior transfer (like me).

yeah jrs hav to go through both the admissions committee and department approval

Any news on AAP transfer applications?

ask bitterlemon. he been there through this process…

I was reading my acceptance letter on the PDF file, and I can not help but that they use the word “approved” instead of accepted. lol.

Hey guys, I’ve been actively following this thread and did not want to post until I got my decision, but the anxiety is getting to me now. I’ve applied to College of Engineering for a sophomore transfer. Anyone else apply for engineering?

hi pacific, interesting name being that you’re in long island. :)
