Who's applying for Spring transfer 09'-Cornell

^^^
how is that possible?! I responded to your post and it says that you wrote your post after I did. Oh well...the post above your post was a reply to the post below it.

Haha that happened to me the other day with my post ending up over someone's that I replied to, I don't get it. I don't know if there is a lot of different options still available. You can select if you want a single, double, etc. and you can also select if you want to live in one of those learning communities, so i chose to live in the west campus house system. I am in a double right now that is in an 6 person suite and only one other person is in the suite so far so I am guessing there are a decent amount of options left still. I'm sure you could fill out the form online even without receiving your packet yet.

For housing, I am stuck between the single room and double. I know the single costs about $800 more per semester, but there is more privacy. My parents are telling me to take the double this coming semester for the "experience". So I will probably go with that. What do you guys think? Which option are you choosing?

ok..lol..before I apply for housing, are you sure I don't have to pay a deposit or something? Do you have to accept the offer before you can apply for housing?

Zakaqel, I sent in my deposit this morning and went online and did my housing shortly after so they definitely didn't get my deposit or acceptance of the offer yet. Hawk, I chose the double for this semester for two reasons 1. price 2. just to give me that extra kid to meet off the bat. Now that I realize my double is actually in a 5 person suite, I wish I was in one of the singles, but because of the price i'm going to leave it rather than trying to switch. If money is not an issue for your decision, and you are going to be in a suite, then i'd go with the single.. otherwise I would suggest a double.

I've been checking every 2 minutes. Either it's updated later in the night, or my decision isn't going to be up tonight.

Hey DarkStar,
If I remember from last year, it is updated at the weirdest hour of the night. My decision came through at like 12:30 last year - not the best decision, but I am over it haha. Good luck with things.

YES!!! I was accepted to ILR, I am so happy...

And wow, it updated very late, as I checked around 12 and it hadn't updated at that point, so it updated sometime after then (saw decision at 1:15).

Oh wow, congrats hermanns! Mine hasn't updated yet, when did yours change?

Sometime between 12 and 1:15am. I am glad I got an exam and presentation over with today and already wrote a final paper before seeing the decision. I doubt I will be able to think about much else tomorrow.

Best of luck with your decision, hope you find an acceptance soon.

It seems like a lot of people here applied and were accepted to ILR, including myself. Maybe we will see each other in the same classes!

Congratulations hermanns

Congrats to all those who found out yesterday! Still no news for my daughter but we keep checking! (Hotel management)

Maybe tomorrow...

Congrats hermanns!

Horray for you Hermanns..!!!

Still waiting on ILR..guess that's not a good sign. Did you get anything in the mail? Would you remember when when your self serve actually send your app went to review? Mine was Nov 17...hope that means they havent gotten to mine yet. Is Dec 11 the last day to hear?

Any rejections from ILR?

My app was not sent for review for a while, sometime in mid november. They made a mistake and didn't check off the fact that my instructor recs had been recieved (both were already in the file when I called). I am assuming they just do them in order since stm167 said his was sent for review back in mid october, and he heard before us.

I'm hoping so. My self serve says" Your app is being...Nov 17". TT.?Think you were before that ?

Isnt Dec 11 the deadline for decisions for Spring ILR?
I afraid to call them

I would guess there is no real deadlines, because on the offer of admission they say to return your deposit a week after you received the offer or January 9th whichever is later.. which implies that they leave room for in case people receive their offer less than a week before Jan. 9th. You definitely shouldn't be afraid to call ILR, their office is very friendly, and whats the worst that can happen.. they tell you that they don't have your decision yet? I would call and ask for Ian, and just tell him you had heard a few people received their decisions and were wondering if there was anyway to find yours out.

Thanks Stm for the vote of support . I think I'kk give it one more day..
