Who's applying RD?

Hang in there, buddy. Try making one of those countdown ringlet chains, you know, with day 1, 2, 3 written on them so you can tear one off every night and know you're that much closer.

I'm applying RD too, although I'm even less enthused about Maine weather than alscharr. I've lived in SoCal my entire life, where anything below 60 drives people shivering into sweaters. I ventured out to Indiana in December once, experienced below-freezing temperatures, and scuttled back in a hurry. But the merits of Bowdoin will totally compensate for my frost-bitten fingers and toes. :)

Haha, I have a countdown going on my computer wallpaper. So far there's about 1 month, 8 days and 2 hours left...but who's counting?

Good luck, Mike :). You should have applied, E-D!

Good luck to everyone. I noticed a few people are applying from NJ. Thats awesome, I live in Clifton, Passaic County, where else is everyone from.

I applied ed II to Bowdoin but I was deferred.Really disappointing. I didn't submit mY sat and toefl. After I heard about my deferral I sent all my scores to Bowdoin.Hope I get in through RD.

Sefago, I'm surprised you didn't get in. Good luck!

I'm applying RD!

Why would NOT sending score preclude you from admission or give someone a lesser chance of admission? Bowdoin even says that sending scores is optional.

I don't think that it would. I was accepted without sending in my scores. By not sending in your scores, Bowdoin just scrutinizes what you give them. So they'll heavily look at your gpa, class rank, course load, ecs, and essays. If you have low test scorese submitting them may hurt more than not submitting them.

Anybody read the update on Bowdoin's new dean of admissions? Towards the bottom it says that nearly 5400 kids applied for the Class of 2010, a 7% increase from last year's record numbers! Holy smokes....

oh no! lol.. i'mmm so nervous. like i can't do homework or anything.. i just keep thinking about the letter being sent soon!

"White Sheet of Snow" is not my idea of school, nor is it my ideal future. I would take no such joy with such a experiance, but than again, to each his own. Different people have different perspectives, maybee it is he who would remember the "cozy fire" and forget the grey atmosphere but for me, I could care less either way. I was born and raised in NY, the fondest of my memories stem from childhood; visiting my grandfathers house in forest hills and during the winter time. All I remember is slush, grey skies...the "bleak" weather you describe. Maybee it is what I associate this weather with, but I somehow find these "battle ship grey" skies attractive. Maybee this is why I took up sailing...I never found anything more alluring and more beautiful than a approaching storm;nothing more powerful. This may be reflected in my photography.
It could be physical, I can not distinguish certain colors as well as others. I could care less about the difference between purple and blue, it all looks the same to me. I look for contrast and shading. This is just who I am, and I am just saying this so that you can acknoledge that towns and buisnesses are built in the most "remote" of places because different people are accustomed to different things; they are all there for a reason. I find the location of Bowdoin to be perfect. My visit and overnight stay was late in Febuary...very unusual for a perspective student. Not unusual for me. I prefer the shades, the "bleak" skies. Is it garbage? to you it is, for me no.

Only about 17 days left! AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!

I was deferred ED I; hoping for good news in 16 days!
