Who's going to apply for honors?

^^ also what does it mean when it says you need a high school cumulative gpa of 3.5 to apply? is that the unweighted/non UC gpa?

thanks :)

I don't know if I'm going to UCR yet because I still have a small hope that at least one of my four appeals will go through. If not, then yes, I will be applying for honors at UCR.

My major will be neuroscience it used to be biochemistry, but I changed it to neuroscience.

I'll be applying to honors. You will need 3.5+ GPA and 2100+ SAT Score.

woa, really a 2100+ SAT?
and is the 3.5 gpa weighted?
i thought they liked that but if you have less you could still apply and might have a chane anyways?

cuse i only have a 1900 ><

no, heck no.
I got full regents for a 2080 SAT I and acceptance to the honors program. UCR, you should note, is not an overly competitive institution. You don't need amazing scores to be the one with the most scholarships, etc...

No You Only Need A 3.5 Gpa Am Applying For The Honors!

but the 3.5 is weighted or unweighted?

since it's cumlative, i think its weighted. and if they sent you the letter you're qualified

hey trip7s, just wondering where you'll be going next year?

I noticed you from the USC threads haha, well i got rejected today so its UCR for me :/

sorry it took so long, i havent been on UCR's forum for a bit... as of right now, it looks like im going to UCSB with hopes of transferring to USC unless UCR does a very good job selling me next week when i go

according to the honors website, whatever gpa you put in your uc application is the one they use. You must have reported a 3.5

will they notify you before may 1 whether you're accepted into honors or not?

can someone confirm its wieghted gpa?

Q: What are the eligibility requirements for the Lower Division University Honors Program?

A: A 3.5 high school GPA as reported on the UC system application is a mandatory criteria for eligibility. Students who have a GPA below 3.5 are NOT eligible to apply.
Q: What GPA do I report on the application?

A: You will not need to report your GPA on the application itself. That information will be verified with the GPA from your system-wide University of California application.

so that means its weighted right? because the UC's give extra points if you said your class was either honors/ap on their application ?

yeah........

I just submitted my honors application. Hurry up, everyone! There's only two days left to apply.

what did you guys write for the part where it says have you been through any hardships or something like that?
