Now that most decisions are out, I thought people might have a clearer idea of where they're going in the fall.

I got rejected from Harvard, Dartmouth, and Tufts, waitlisted at Brandeis and Middlebury, and accepted at Wellesley and The University of Maine.

I also got rejected at Harvard. I was waitlisted at Columbia (I was initially happy, but now feeling quite offended). I got into Swarthmore and Wellesley... those two I really like, but I like them about the same so it'll be a close call.

I rejected from Harvard, Columbia, and Georgetown.
Accepted at Wellesley, The University of Washington, and the UW honors program.

so it looks like I'm going to wellesley also.

on a side note, I wish i had applied to more colleges, just because of my ego. When I was visiting, I decided that I would go to wellesley over a few other schools (mainly NYU and Macalester), and since I figured I would get into wellesley, I didn't apply to the other ones.

whyyyy did I think I would get into wellesley? I wasn't thinking straight. but at least I did, and now I'm going. however, it would be nice to think that I was accepted to a bunch of places, and choosing to go to the one I wanted.

go wellesley! I'm taking a year off, so I won't be seeing you for a while...

I got rejected from Harvard, Brown, and Yale...but got into Wellesley, Brandeis, Smith, Tufts, and Wesleyan...so it looks like I'll be going to Wellesley as well!!!

I'm actually really happy about harvard, becasue the rejection made my decision much easier...It would have been hard to say no, but it would have been just as hard to say no to wellesley

I can't wait to meet you all at the SOC...Who's going?

I'm going to Wellesley next fall, but then again I went last fall and am still here right now ::grin::.
I got rejected from Harvard (and Yale) too, and I think Roza summed it up nicely, about how rejections make choices easier.

Anyway, wherever you do go, it's like chosing between a pillow and a soft place.

Hey, as of now, it looks like I'll be going to Wellesley too!
I got into Tufts and NYU, was rejected at the Ivies I applied too. Oh, and I was waitlisted at Amherst. If by some miracle I were to get into Amherst, it'd be hard to say no. Very.

Nonetheless, go wellesley! PM me for my AIM SN~.

I'm pretty much going for sure!! yay!!!! (and my twin, too)
It now just comes down to the financial aid packages; we haven't received ours yet... If you don't mind posting, how generous was Wellesley for you? What was your EFC and what did you get in grant money?

Yay, I'm excited for you (and your twin) pinke123!

My EFC was high even though it didn't really represent my family's true financial situtation. Regardless, the other schools I applied to barely met my stated EFC, some schools not even matching it, so I didn't think I would get more money from Wellesley than the amount it would take to match the difference of my EFC w/ the cost of attending. Fortunately, Wellesley was SUPER generous towards me and offered me more aid than what my EFC suggested.

I know that this post is pretty general, but like elizabeth22 posted, PM me for the actual numbers. I'd be happy to fill you in!
