Anybody besides me taking the March 12th SAT?

I am OOO I'm freaking out now! Just 8 days!

So am I dude. I'm only a sophomore so this is just like a practice thing to get used to what it's like. But still, eight friggin days man. I'm scared.

geez, sophomores... lol. jp. yep, i am taking it next Saturday too. I usually have a pretty cool head when it comes to exams, i don't stress as much as I have seen other people stress, but this one... I dunno man! Good luck to everyone!

i'm taking it.

a week!! ahhh!!! why does it have to be 4 hrs. -_-

i've done virtually no prep, this thing is gonna beat me in the ass...only 8 days GAAAAAHHH!!!!!!!!

Same here, like no prep, but I'm gonna have another chance senior year.

I'm pretty cool about tests, but this one just seems kinda crazy, the length and all ya know. My whacked out English teacher has also lowered my self esteem about essays. She'll give me a 100 on one and then a 70 on the next, it's crazy.

haha, mine is the exact same way! i think my teacher just drops the essays down a staircase and randomly assigns them grades...

Yeah, seriously dude. I think mine rolls a 100 sided dice or something. Oh, and the added bonus, if you get 100 and not many people did, you have to read it in front of the class.

I'm taking the March SAT also. Practically no prep, although I plan to get a practice test under my belt this weekend...

Another problem with the longer SAT, the full practice tests are harder to fit into your schedule...

same situation here. i hope a practice test will be enough prep

Yeah I haven't finished my practice test yet, I'm only on like section two, I've been doing it at random times as well.

I'm taking it...ugh. I'm nervous about it...my poor history teacher. We're having a test next week and I begged him for the review sheet early so I could do it this weekend and study a little every day and devote most time for SAT practice.

Yep, I'm getting nervous. No prep unlike the Jan sat before which i was studying 3 hrs every day. I hate the new sats.

"Oh, and the added bonus, if you get 100 and not many people did, you have to read it in front of the class."

haha, sounds like fun ;)

is it me, or does it sound like every1 on cc hasn't managed to get in a whole lot of prep for the march 12 sat?

texasmathwhiz -- i'm a sophomore too. i'm taking it because i want to know what the test is like before it really starts to matter junior year. i haven't studied, but i got a 1410 (not counting the writing section) on the one practice test i've taken. i'll just have to hope that the real test isn't much harder, and that i don't do too badly on the writing.

I've been prepping during study halls and at lunch since I'm more concentrated then. I leave the homework for after school. But, I really haven't gotten much practice in. I haven't hit the math section yet in the Kaplan book (yikes). And I'm not good at standardized tests...I normally range 1100-1200, so not great scores. I don't know how I'll wait until April for my scores...

I'm taking it and it's gonna suck. I'm doing other studying over the break ( going for national AP scholar) so iw ont have a great deal of time to prep.

I just hope that I can miraculously do well on this SAT. I mean, it's not like I haven't been prepping, but after hearing that the curve for this New SAT is less lenient than expected... well, I think you can fill in the blanks. Anyhow, I'm hoping to score extremely well on the math and writing sections so that I can have some margin for error when it comes to the critical reading section. Based on past practice tests, my highest CR score was 670... not good. I think that I can score 800 on writing (hopefully) and at least 700 on math (hopefully again). Oh well... whatever happens, I hope I won't be too disappointed. Anyhow, I'm a junior so I don't have much time to screw around with this test. I mean, I suppose I could retest after this March 12 SAT, but I just want to do well the first time around because it'll sure save me a lot of stress, time, and money. Good luck to everybody, and please don't set the curve too high, haha. Well, I'm sure the curve is, for the most part, predetermined, but good luck anyhow!

i tthink I'll just not care........that seems to get me higher scores. or is it lower? -P
