<p>I've read that a lot of people have written about discovering aliens for the Carl Sagan essay, and, well, I wrote about them too. I just wanted to get an idea of how many other people are using that topic, so post here if you wrote about aliens and we can comfort each other about how common that essay might be.</p>

<p>lol, I think that although our goal might be the same (discovering aliens), our reasons for wanting to may differ completely. I wrote about my infatuation with Plutonian aliens in third grade, and how I was crushed when I found out they weren't real. So I think "discovering aliens" is too broad to compare our essays, when in fact they might be really different.</p>
<p>absolutely...its a very interesting topic that allows for intellectual or personal reflection</p>
