Teacher Recommendations: Hopefully pretty awesome. One of my teachers called me "one of her finest students" and the other pulled me aside in junior year to ask me about my college aspirations and told me she'd be happy to write my rec.

Guidance Recommendation: I know my guidance counselor really well at this point. We are practically friends, and his wife is one of the teachers who likes me a lot. I was told by another guidance officer that my counselor had wrote me a "really great" recommendation.

Optional Recommendation: I'm asking my board manager of the district council to write my recommendation. She knows of my leadership abilities and has told people after a project I worked on for the community that I "did the best job in 11 years".

Essay: So far I've had about 20 people or so read the essay (it's on insects and my childhood experiences haha) that I spent over thirty hours on. Most of my reviewers, including a couple friends I have at MIT and Stanford, as well as my English teacher and fellow CC'ers, have said its a really great essay. I just need to work on it a little more before its polished completely. If you would like to read it...just PM me!

So after reading this...what do you guys think?

My questions are:

-Do you think I have a reasonable chance?
-Which test scores should I submit? SAT, ACT, or both?
-Do you think my low science score on the ACT will kill my application, seeing as I'm focused in the sciences and I plan on majoring in biology. I didn't do well on it because I ran out of time and freaked out...
-How else can I solidify my application?

I really appreciate it if you read this. I'm not trying to sound cocky or anything in my post, so if you got that impression from anything that I said, sorry! I'm just stressed out right now because of my unexpected ACT score. :(
