Recently I noticed that there are fewer chairs in the common area in my dorm.
I can see why, because the chair in the common area is way better than the ones we are given in our rooms.
But how are they not get caught?
Aren’t they going to face a serious trouble if they are found out?
Prob not. Just need to return. Typical college prank.
It happens all the time at my (former) school. People would move the furniture around as a prank or take a chair into their room for extra seating.
It’s pretty typical and not something that’s"punished" at all unless the students do something dangerous or vandalized the furniture or something.
If people aren’t actually removing it from the building, it’s not a big deal.
If it is a problem – ex. there are not enough chairs for people who want to be in the common room – then you might mention to the RA that there seems to be fewer chairs in the common room and at times not everyone can sit there who would like to – do not make any accusations. Otherwise it is not your issue so don’t worry about it.
