Why ARTIST Scholar?

<p>I received a scholarship Email...but apparently I'm an ARTIST scholarship contender? Huh? Science I could understand, if it was going to be a specific scholarship but music???I checked the admission requirements for this. I sent in a piano DVD and they asked for a CD and a resume, neithetr of which I sent. </p>

<p>Does anyone know if being a prospective recipient of a SPECIFIC scholarship discounts me from other scholarship consideration--like if they make me audition and I have a bad performance.(I'm going to call them Monday--but its too late now). </p>

<p>Also, if I get this scholarship do you know if I have to take lessons all 4 years (I want to get use to college in my freshman year)</p>

<p>Yeah, there are specific committees at U of R under the Richmond Scholars program. I have no idea what the requirements are for the Artist Scholarship though. You might want to ask. Good luck!!</p>
