Why can I not register for ECO 305

I get this message

Error: You are unable to enroll in this class at this time. Available seats are reserved and you do not meet the reserve capacity requirements.

When are non ECO majors allowed to register for ECO?

Your best bet is probably to contact the department secretary or the course’s professor. They’ll have an idea of who the reserved seats are for and when (if ever) things are likely to open up.

Yep, i did that. I just wanted to see if maybe there is something like a first pass at registration where only majors can register for courses and then it opens up to non majors…

Apparently ECO courses are closed to everyone but Eco majors.

That is ABSURD!
Fall is the first semester for this .

Totally sucks as i needed 303 and 305

Whoa, that is ridiculous. All of them? Did they give any reason at all?

If you need ECO 303 and 305 for another major, what on earth are people in your department supposed to do?

Well i dont “need” technically.

I need it in order to get credit for the economics actuarial exam. Credit by Education Verification- taking 2 courses and passing them with a grade of B- or higher gives you credit for one exam- these two would have given me credit for the Economics Exam.

Yes they gave a reason “budget cuts”

Goddamn, that’s ridiculous. Maybe temporarily declare an ECO minor or something?

lol i already thought of that, double majoring temporarly. My major person said it was a good idea but not to tell them i was doing it :)
