Why Chance Threads are Crap (MIT Acceptance!!)

For anyone who has been bashed on "chance" threads, this girl (<a href="http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/international-students/865670-how-do-colleges-look-sats-internationals-2.html%5B/url%5D">http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/international-students/865670-how-do-colleges-look-sats-internationals-2.html</a>) was...

Accepted to MIT!!!

A nice example of why chance threads are pretty ****. DO NOT let a "chance me" thread keep you from applying!

Good luck to everyone!

Could you invite her to write a more elaborate account of her story? I think it would be inspiring to all those who dream big but do not have the courage to try.

Keep us updated on her other results also!
Thanks for sharing.

I never ask for a chance in the forum, but I did ask silverturtle to run his self-chancing program with my stats. his program returned ‘very low chance’ / ‘almost no chance’ abt my application for high-ranked university…

and I get accepted in both Stanford and MIT  so… yeah, i think written scores (which is used for most chancing) only can’t determine acceptance / rejection.

^ Congratulations anyways. :)

thanks! :)

Congratulations! I love to hear that internationals get in great places  applause

Congratulations!!!:D

I wish you the best!!:D
