Why did I get denied from Georgia Tech?

The GPA and standardized test scores are low for all of the private schools you list.

Do you have any safety schools?

I recommend you choose another Georgia school as a safety. Students underestimate the value of the HOPE until spring when the cost of college becomes much more real to them and their parents.

You’re definitely not getting into Northwestern and UCLA

i think you r in good shape for some of those other schools (south carolina, auburn ,american) Boston university might also be a good school that you can check out ( ive heard they r really good for what u want to study) I agree with what everyone else said in that u did not have a math /science focused curriculum, but the aps that u did take should be impressive to more social science based schools. Honestly dont give up hope, u will find a school that is right for u and @Willwilliams1334 ur a jerk and i hope i never have to go to school with a person like u…

You’re in pretty good shape for most of those schools. Northwestern and USC are definitely high reaches though. American should be a very good fit for you, especially considering your major.

Can you pay for all those OOS schools?

I also get denied from gatech with 2040SAT (cr570 M800 wr670),but I have a friend get in with 1930SAT. I guess personal statement or extra activities weigh a lot.

Rather than ask a bunch of random people at CC about this, why don’t you ask your guidance counselor? Since you are in-state, your counselor should have a pretty good idea about who is and who isn’t likely to be admitted. If your counselor has a good relationship with someone at GA Tech, your question could be answered with one phone call.
