haha i was just wondering
any theories why people in other states got their letters from usc faster then people that live in California?

the people in California who didnt get letters have gotten accepted? I doubt it but I can hope atleast haha

that would be awesome....but that cant be true hahaha.

i have a friend who lives less then an hour from usc who was rejected today...

Like I had said in an earlier post...I called admissions on friday and they said that the rest of the decisions will be mailed out today, Monday March 31st. So what I'm thinking is that there was a batch mailed out on friday and the next batch mailed out today and now they are probably working on transfers apps.

ya and I have a friend who lives 10 minutes from me who was rejected... makes no sense.

We will know soon enough though, it just sucks they way they do this, why can't they just do it online???

i really hate how their acceptance rate dropped from 25% to 21% this year.......seriously? what are the chances. its like we're being punished for being born in 1990!

Next year is supposed to be the worst, and then it gets better from there. So they say. You never know. I think the increased foreign presence in the applicant pool will make admissions steadily more competitive so that in maybe...10 or 15 years it will be harder than it was for us.

My dad's friend works admissions at Dartmouth and he says from India alone, they get enough highly-qualified applicants to fill up each freshman class. They eventually just cap the number of kids from there for diversity's sake.

dammit india!!!!!! hahahaha oh well i understand. people always say asians are the smartest. they are smart, but ppl who say that obviously havent taken a foreign language class with an indian person.

Hey now, I was born in '89. >_>

because we're awesome?

89 here too!

sometimes being indian isn't the greatest thing for college admission. before ya we were the minority so it was easier to get in. but now there is way to many of us and it hurts are chances.

HA indian didnt work for me
i got rejected.

well with due respect, im a white male, italian, catholic. diversity is pouring out of my application as you can tell haha

I'm Salvadorian/Guatemalen.

chinese...

Bwaha. I'm Central American so I have everyone beat. xD I'm actullay 1/4 Chinese but that must have slipped my mind when I was writing down my applications. Good thing they didn't ask for the race of my grandmother. xD
