No one will believe I'm 16. I look like a "full grown adult" according to one person.

It's the same with my classmates - people outside of school often think that the girls look older than 16 and 17 and act accordingly ... "hey, can I have cho number and name girl ... damn ...?" LOL :).

And I have often mistaken other high schoolers for college students. Heck, I once asked a girl which college she went to. Turned out, she was 13 ...

I was surprised to see how old Caucasians actually look. I transferred to a new high school and WOAH. 10th graders look like college sophomores.

And Asians… you just can’t tell. (I know because I am one). You could say I was fresh out of middle school -_-

It depends on how your family ages, how you eat, how you take care of yourself, and your race (and ethnicity too). What you wear can make you look older or younger too sometimes.

Tanning is really popular (I’ve seen kids that are 10 and tanning), and it’s horrible for your skin. It makes you all wrinkly way earlier.

I act older so I seem older. I look average for my age (maybe younger when I smile, oh dimples).

A lot of kids at my school definitely look way older than they actually are.
… And then there’s me. No one will believe I’m 16. People usually guess 12… highest is 14. One lady at the airport thought I was in college, though.
I think part of looking older is also “acting” older…

Caucasians are certainly hairier than their Asian counterparts, but I haven’t particularly noticed that Caucasians look “older” on average.

It’s purely anecdotal, but I’ve noticed that people of Southern European heritage (Italians, Spanish, Greek etc.) and their American kin tend to physically mature faster than those of Northern European heritage (Irish, English, French, German, Scandinavian) although both reach the same point by the time they hit their late twenties.

I don’t really know how old people think I am. I’ve got hair on my legs and face (I shave it) and…uh…other places… but I weigh 120lbs. My legs are toned from running but my torso is a toothpick.

My dad, and uncles on both sides of the family, started filling out (muscle and height-wise) in their junior years of college. Hopefully the same will happen for me. I wouldn’t mind it happening a little earlier though…

I’m half slavic, so I got the hair gene. I’m the youngest half of the people with an actual beard (not hipstery stubble or a neckbeard or anything like that). Someone thought I was in my twenties earlier this year (I recently turned 16).

My orthodontist, who I had known for six years, asked me which college I was going to when I said I was going to be a freshman. I was 14 then, and I am Asian/Caucasian.
It’s weird, I gotta tell you that

I’ve been seen as two years older or younger because my shape is that of a 25 year old but my height is a bout an 11 year old (5’ 2"). Also, I think what makes girls look way too old is the darn eyeliner. Lay off it! Its not good for it to cover literally half of your eyes!

-------------------------------------------If it is to be, it is up to me…

I’ve always looked a bit younger than I actually am. I don’t know for sure if it has anything to do with my half Indian-ness, but I’ve always thought Indian kids young for their age.
I definitely think white kids look older than Asians in general, though.
