Why do people say USC is so good, why pay so much money

I understand its private, which also leads me to wonder why do people pay so much for a private university is it just better education. Ive been told by someone who goes to USC that its really good and i should go there.they do have exactly what i want to major in
Division of Occupational Science & Occupational Therapy
So why should i pay so much money to go to USC when i can pay a fraction of that cost at Alabama state?

Well, USC meets 100% of USC-determined need. Depending on your EFC, it can be cheaper than a state school for some people.

Is efc
Technically financial aid

EFC = expected family contribution = how much money your family’s expected to pay at a given college (varies by school)

Try the USC net price calculator: http://www.usc.edu/admission/fa/applying_receiving/npc/

USC is a peer of other private schools like Notre Dame, Wake Forest and Emory – it’s a good school.

And as others have mentioned, it might not cost asuch as in-state state schools, depending on your EFC.

And according to US News, USC has the best occupational therapy program in the country.
