Why do people talk on the phone/with their friends/skype in the library?

It's stupid. While that UCLA dumb blonde girl from that viral youtube video is a racist, she does have a point. People, regardless of their sex, race, whatever, always seem to talk and laugh and joke around in all the libraries I've been to. Whether it be Stacks, Doe, Moffit, study lounges in the units, ect.

If you need to talk, go outside, and don't bother other people in the library.

but I need to ching chong ting tong ling long!

I need to call my entire address book to find out about the tsunami and like stuff. I hope I won’t get too emotional.

gobears has a point.

People are really disrespectful when they talk on their phone in the library. I don’t understand how people think sometimes, you’re in a freakin library, WHY are you talking on ur phone, ■■■■■■?

I can completely sympathize with a person who gets a quick call that he/she has to finish up in a minute or two, but some morons will talk for up to 30 minutes which is incredibly ignorant.

everything overachiever wrote is 100% spot on.

except for that 1% which happens to be spot off

Go and do something about it. Tell the ■■■■■■ to take it outside or deal with it. You get to choose.

first of all, don’t say ■■■■■■. second of all, i hate people who talk on their phones period. if you’re going to talk on your phone, do it in your room when you are alone. god. people are so obnoxious…including my parents. i hate when people use their phone in the movies, or in a restaurant. rawr!

Free country! I will say ■■■■■■ and talk on my phone where ever i want!!! AT THE SAME TIME IF I WANTED TO!
