Why do girls Like to talk so much?

<p>OK not saying that I don't like to talk to girls, most guys do but there are some which talk too damn much! For example theres this girl who calls me everyday, to talk about absolutely nothing. It's so frustrating, especially because she likes to prolong phone calls for hours, by saying the stupidest crap.</p>

<p>I feel bad telling her something,especially since at the beginning of this year I was trying to get with her but not anymore, now shes the one trying to get with me.</p>

<p>Also, shes not the only one doing that, theres this other girl-friend that I have which loves to call me around One in the morning every other night, at one in the freaking morning. When I tell her that i'm sleeping,she usually saids you're boring or something along those lines, ***, first of all I work from 4am to 1pm so why would I be up at 1am, and why would or should anyone ask what you're doing at one in the morning.</p>

<p>Whenever my guy friends call me its usually around a 20-30 minute conversation, talking about things I consider intresting,like sports,girls etc. Whenever a girl calls me most conversation are 45-2hrs long, and are usually pointless and achieve nothing.</p>

<p>Again I am a heterosexual, I do like to talk to girls and hangout with them, its just that they talk too much, and its usually about how there feeling, what they ate, who they thought about etc. IS this necessary.</p>

<p>My question, why do girls find the need to talk so much, don't they ever get tired, and how do they come up with that crap they talk about. Ok that was my rant for the day, sorry to any girls that i have offended</p>

<p>Okay... first of all the mysterious ways of girls... you will most likely never understand, so I am not even going to try because then I will just prove your point and it will take me like 45 min to answer. </p>

It sounds like the girls that are calling you at all hours of the day are trying to get your attention and want to talk to you... Sorry but thats life. If you want them to stop calling you so much be honest with them and tell them that instead how about you call them when you have free time, then in the beginning be sure to say you only have x amount of time to talk. </p>

<p>The "crap" that we talk about is usally not needed but I know I like to talk about stuff like that . </p>

<p>Basically I don't even know some of the answers... I mean with some of my best friends I can talk for hours on the phone and it only seems like 15 minutes passed by. </p>

<p>As for offending people... well you didn't really offend me because I am used to it, but not all girls talk constantly and your response is typical. </p>

<p>I don't know... I'm sure this post is long... and completely pointless considering I didn't really answer anything... Well whatever I'm out!</p>

<p>i don't blame you for being annoyed with those girls, they sound like mindless idiots...i know the type. i don't really understand where the incessant drivel such people spew comes from, so i can't really tell you why they would talk about such crap, but i can sympathize, as i have numerous friends who do the same thing to me. i suggest you take advantage of your caller id and stop answering your phone at 1 am. they will take the hint. </p>

<p>or, if you are stuck on the phone with them, you could try calling yourself from another phone, saying you have another call, and hanging up. horrible, yes, but its gotten me out of quite a few conversations...with annoying, rambling boys, nonetheless :)</p>

<p>Not all girls are like that. I, for one, am not. Actually, I get extremely irked with girls like that.
I think it's general nature. There was a study done that proved that on average, women talk much more then men.</p>

<p>if you're stuck on the phone w/ them- do what I do- tell them that your dad, or somebody wants to use the phone.</p>

<p>Or you can just say- "oh no, I've got to go," really fast and hang up.- That one usually works.</p>

<p>I get out of most phone calls easily by telling them my phone's out of battery. As a girl, I hate prolonged phone conversations, except with a few good friends. (And they call me.)</p>

<p>haha i'm a guy and i talk on the phone with a friend who's a girl for hours. i usually call too but we're really close and we just like say stupid stuff</p>

Yeah, then it's really weird, because you don't know if they actually want to "talk," and it's awkward to ask.</p>

<p>I HATE it when my girl friends do that. I got in a lot of trouble because this one girl would call like five times a day, and at times like 2 am. There's even a girl who just sighs. It's like "what are you doing?" "nothing, you?" "nothing...sigh...what are you doing now?" That type of thing is sooo annoying, not to mention boring.</p>

<p>Girls are great on the phone, even if they talk about nothing. Their voices are pretty. Now when they're depressed, or having issues with people, then it's really annoying. They go on for hours about every little detail of their issues. It sounds pretty though...</p>

<p>I absolutely hate talking on the phone. I have a cell phone but usually just use it to check who called and then I get back to that person on facebook or just in person. AIM is good too. Sooo much more productive... no awkward silences with nothing to talk about and when you get bored you can go "oh, my brother wants to use the computer...bye." </p>

<p>I love talking on the phone, it's fun to multitask while you're talking. I talk with people I like and are really good friends.</p>
