I know yale makes you choose your top three areas of interest, but is it ok if I write about only one of them? It seems too much to be expected to write about all three areas in just 100 words.
i’d assume that the three interests are all related somehow, so you should probably talk about all 3?
I applied and was accepted SCEA and only talked about my first choice major. You are required to list AT LEAST 2 (the third is optional), but I don’t think it’s the end of the world if you don’t speak to your 2nd option major.
I wrote briefly about each of my three and was accepted SCEA.
I applied in RD and put math, applied math and CS + math on my app. I mostly talked about math (obvious), but I also touched a bit on why I want to study CS. If the majors that you’re applying for could be connected in some way, I guess that it would be really helpful for you to write about it
i was accepted SCEA and only wrote about my first choice, so clearly either is fine
