If you had to pick 1 reason, what would it be?

to earn a different perspective on the world and of course, to partay!!!

I want to attend college so that I can be in an environment which furthers my outlook on life and nourishes my mind and soul.

It's so hard to pick just one reason though. I also feel the urge to break out of this little suburban bubble that I live in and feed my insatiable desire to really see the world. I love meeting new people, of course, as well. I haven't moved from my house since the day I was born so I really don't know what it's really like to live for an extended period of time anywhere else.

I'm, on the other hand, afraid of leaving home.

make some god damn money

why wouldn't you want to go

Well, you do live in NYC, homebuddy, lol. I love NYC and I love the East Coast, even though I'm all the way over in California. I dunno. The general vibe over there is so radically different from the West Coast.

for the fun of it, of course.

For myself, a rampant hunger for knowledge and an overdeveloped sense of civic duty (majoring in biomed...it fits, honestly).

nicely said lol

I love learning just for the sake of itself.

I've seen pretty horrible injustices (when I was a kid I saw this baby die because a doctor refused to treat her, and just some other horrible things that still... haunt me :( ) and feel that if an education can allow me to somehow go back and --change--- those moments, just you know those moments when I felt utterly helpless... GET revenge in a constructive way, the best way I know how... then it's worth -anything- I have to put up with.

I want to make my family and parents proud, they've been let down to many times, and somehow I know that all of their hopes lie on me.

It's all so complex, yet so simple. I am somehow like everyone else, I want to have adventures and see THE WORLD, yet there is an underlying passion that stems further than that driving me to pursue education.

(Sorry about sounding so dramatic.)

Because everyone else is doing it. Bandwagon baby!

To expand my mind.

i have to agree with cityknight06
I'm going to college so I can break the vicious cycle of poverty that my family seems to be engulfed in. And to get away from my mother because living with her drives me crazy (i'm going to college out of state) .

=] Meet new people and have a blast! x]

To be educated.

Because I'll have nothing to do if I don't go, and I'd just sit around at home driving everyone crazy.

to explore......myself.

to learn about more things and also to know more people. The minor reason is because my parents want me to.
