Why DON'T You Want An Ivy League Education?

<p>Does anyone here NOT want to go Ivy? Just wondering!!</p>

<p>Personally, I just didn’t like any of the Ivy league schools. </p>

<p>Also, from my friends who go to Ivy league schools, many of the classes are taught by people other than professors. And some Ivies have more than their fair share of snobby people (not generalizing, just going by what friends have told me). </p>

<p>The only school I would have considered was Brown.</p>

<p>Me. I’ve just never wanted to. It’s never really crossed my mind. Nobody from my school ever really goes to ivy leagues, so it really hasn’t been shoved down my throat much at all.</p>

<p>I’m not fully commited on going to an Ivy, my top 5 schools aren’t Ivy…but getting accepted to one, and with my decision changing in the next couple years, it might be a higher priority than now.</p>

<p>Honestly, I would think that the qualifications that a Stanford graduate and a UC Berkeley graduate are roughly the same in most fields.</p>

<p>My school is ranked higher than all Ivys for my major. Plus my school is instate and 3 miles away.</p>

<p>I’m only considering one of them (UPenn) because I’m not interested in most of the ivy league schools. I either don’t like their campus, their location, or the way they promote themselves.</p>

<p>The Ivy League is not great for engineering. All of the top engineering schools are non-ivys.</p>
