That’s one part of the south. You can’t judge an entire region based on the select acts of a few.

Because I don’t like black people and I hate that people are openly Christian. I also hate that it’s hot because they also don’t have air conditioning in the South. They need to get with the times.

And that’s in Florida… which is not actually a part of “the South”. It has way too many yankees. It might be physically in the South, but it isn’t considered to be a part of the south culturally.

They can’t even make tea.

Stupid computer double post.

But we were sitting and talking about the burning today and we’re all just like… This is so stupid. Why is this guy with a church of 31 people getting all this media attention?

He makes us conservative Christians look bad.

I love the south. Love it.

@futurexecutive Your joking I hope.

My mom went to Atlanta the other day. And she loved it, she actually preferred it over NYC. Because she thought the people were more polite, and the place seemed cleaner. Before this she had a negative view of the South, now she doesn’t.

^^^^ Whoa. You don’t like black people?

Just to give another side to things, I’m a liberalish atheist who loves the cold, but I plan on going south for college. For one thing, I want to experience a new region of the country; I’ve lived in the northeast my entire life. I adore football, southern food, country music, how polite everyone is, southern accents, sweet tea, southern boys (most important factor, obviously), and the fact that things are more laid back and there seems to generally be a lot less focus on money and less snobbery.

Yea, I was about to say…
But I think she’s joking.

I love black people

I was joking sorry it wasn’t obvious

I noticed you were joking, especially since your location says Kentucky.

The schools I’m applying to in the south have the highest percentages of black students. And I love black people, so that’s another reason I want to go south.

I don’t like the South mostly because of the weather. I’ve gone down to Mississippi all my life because my mom’s from there, and I’ve never had any bad experiences (I’m black). I’ve never really had to interact with locals though, just my family. Actually living down there could be different though. And the funny thing is, my mom hasn’t really had any bad experiences, and she was born in the early 60s!

Wait… You guys are saying you love black people?

What? Seriously? Pleas tell me that you’re all joking.

facepalm

Unless of course you’re coming from the “I love all people” type of deal. Otherwise it’s just strange to say “I love this race.”

Anyways… The north seems too cold to me, both in temperature and attitude. I love that when I’m driving and I see someone walking on the street or I pass them that they’ll wave to me. You wave to everyone here! And I love our weather. We get 1-2 snows a year, an icestorm every so often, and blastingly hot summers. I’m close enough to go to the mountains for the day (45 minute drive) as well as the beach (3 hour drive).

I love South Carolina.

I love Asians. I love White people. I see nothing wrong with saying that.

I wasn’t joking. Three of my closest friends are African-American (and I’m from an area with few black people, so that’s unusual) and the vast majority of guys that I am attracted to and/or hook up with are black. I’m known at my school as the girl who likes black guys.

That’s awesome about the waving thing. That friendliness is a big reason why I love the south. Such a better atmosphere.

I have lived in Florida for my entire life. It’s not bad. The weather is great. The schools (at least mine) are less competitive. It’s not a hindrance at all.

^^ You’re the white chick who dates black guys? Oh me and you would be GREAT friends.

^^^ Lol wow. Black chick who dates white guys, white chick who dates black guys. Wow.

^ I got white friends just like her.

you know, I have not met a white girl like that. Sadly… I have not met an asian who dates black guys… sadly.
