My husband and I met at the U of R and now live in Rochester. I LOVE living here, for many of the reasons listed above. It’s really a great place to raise a family. But when we were students (and I did have a car), we really didn’t do too much off campus, either.

This past summer we were sitting outside at a restaurant on a street with some shops and restaurants, not too far from the school. I mentioned to him how great this was, and why didn’t we come here more often when we were students. His answer “because we had NO MONEY”.

I had a wonderful experience at the University of Rochester, where I studied at the Institute of Optics. My peers were smart and friendly, and my professors were excellent at teaching and ensuring student success. I had a balanced lifestyle between academic workload and social activity. I was able to get many internships as a student, and eventually landed a well-paying job right after graduation. If I had to start over, I’d come to the University again. But still there are more university www.professions.edu.au
@Meliora2 hi i am having a hard time deciding which college to go to. Rochester’s open curriculum attracted me severely. However at the end of the day I want to pursue my career in business. I have heard verrrry little about Rochester’s business major and business internships. If i do choose to study business will turning down Babson college for Rochester be wise in your opinion? Thank you for the help!
One of the best threads on why to go to a particular school. My daughter wants to do comp sc and she is comparing UR to Georgia Tech and CMU. Any Comp Sc students who can offer some thoughts on that?
