Why haven't I been contacted for an interview? (SCEA 2019)

Hi,
If you could help me figure this out, that would be great. I submitted my app with everything accept the test scores on October 13th, it was all processed on the 14th. My test scores were received on the 27th. Is there any reason I haven't been contacted for an interview? Could my area be lacking in interviewers, overwhelmed by the number of applicants, etc.?
Thank you!

Yes and yes. There’s no guarantee that you’ll get an interview and it won’t mean a thing if you don’t. Apps were due literally two days ago, so I wouldn’t panic over not being contacted yet. You could wait a couple of weeks and if you still haven’t heard from someone, politely inquire if you are scheduled for an interview. My daughter did this and it tuned out that her interviewer got all fouled up because of superstorm Sandy. He was happy to get her contact info again from Harvard and set up the interview. Best of luck!

… so it could even occur where your buddy who applied at 11: 58PM on Nov 1 gets an interview and you don’t. It’s random. So just let it go-- it’s nothing to be concerned about as you can’t affect the outcome.

Same situation as OP. I had everything done by Oct 14th.

Do these interviewers have a deadline for interviewing us? How long should I wait until I contact them?

@Karabekian: my college has similar EA deadlines to Harvard. For SCEA applicants, we have been asked to have all interview reports uploaded by Dec 1st. I would advise against contacting them. If at all humanly possible, they will schedule you. If you’ve not gotten a call, either they haven’t been able to assign you an interviewer (most likely) or possibly, you were assigned to one that didn’t get around to calling/emailing/texting you yet (unlikely).

But like every post says – don’t worry about it. It’s the least important item in your file.
