Why haven't I got accepted yet?

I applied to Rutgers early action. Everything was received OCTOBER 20th. I am in state, 2100 SAT, applied to SAS and some other schools. Have not got into ANY of them. It still says in process. I have a B+ weighted. taken like 5 honors/AP classes before+ 4 AP/honors this year. Oh and I am URM. Anyone else?Should I be worried?

Just call them/email them to check the status of your application.

I did already. They said they had everything…

I’m in the same situation, good to know I’m not alone

Same here. I haven’t received a notification as of yet.

Why I haven’t I been accepted yet lol… Your scores are good though, was your essay particularly controversial?

Shouldn’t matter, Rutgers is completely numbers based

You should send an email to an admissions officer entitled, “Why Haven’t I Been Accepted Yet”. :p

Maybe some of staff members are still on winter break?

Rutgers is number based to a point, if your high enough its auto in or low enough its auto out. For students in the middle range your essays come into play (along with your ec’s rec’s and whatnot).

@collegecrazey When you say you have a B+ weighted do you mean that with the weight your gpa is a 3.3? That would be pretty low

Hey man,
I would not worry at all. They have over 70 admissions counselors and some of them take their sweet time so I wouldn’t really worry at all. Did you apply EA or RD? Regardless of when you applied, you will definitely get in.

I meant I have a 3.8 weighted GPA( my school doesn’t calculate unweighted…) My essay was about my leadership in a diversity role. Good to know I am not alone though…I applied EA.

My counselor said, he was 90% sure I would get in, he just could not say 100 in case anything happened. People at my school with lower scores/ GPA got in

you will get in but they have until feb to tell you so they are not in a rush, I would suggest that you just wait because annoying them will not help get the decision you want.

Yeah, I know loads of people with low stats and a low SAT score who had already got into the NB campus. Makes me wonder what type of people Rutgers is looking for.

@needsmorsleep what would you say is the middle range? as far as gpa and sat solely
