<p>I was struck by the poverty around me, and became interested in economics, especially economic development…I have done further research on the subject, read some books etc. Is this good enough? Or is it not deep enough…?</p>
<p>Nehisb, economics is my passion too, so I understand what you mean and how fascinating economics can be. However, I would advise you to write such an essay as a supplement, not as the common application one. In my humble opinion, in a supplement it would look much more natural and appropriate.</p>
