Hello community! I have sent my SAT scores form via the official site a couple weeks ago. And it said “SENT” (not pending) on 11 2rd. However, till now. All of the colleges that I applied receive nothing from CB including my CSS form which sent on 10 26th. Dose that mean colleges need more time? Or I should spend another $60+ to send the scores again? This is frustrating
I have the exact same problem. Though I sent them several weeks ago (October 14th), collegeboard says they were sent october 28th and none of my schools have the scores…
I’m having that problem with some of my schools as well. They all say sent (Nov 4) yet not all my schools have received them.
Yep. Mine said sent on nov 2, now said sent on NOV 11. I didnt know this until i got an email from CB today!
^ Seems like many people have the same problem. Did anyone experience it last year? How could it get fixed?
I was told that although colleges “receive scores”, it depends on their system how they actually get them into their system.
Thus, there were colleges last year when my son applied that electronically got scores but reported that they have to print out the scores in order to file the scores with the applications. Or vice versa, they got paper scores and had to type them into the application.
I know also that some colleges get electronic applications and then print them out.
I suggest you contact individual colleges and ask if you are dying to know. The circumstances may be different for different colleges, and it is better to show interest and follow up with the colleges than wonder.
As for the CB saying one date and changing it to another, you can call them about that, and get confirmation on each score that was sent, that it was really sent.
Wow, I just checked and one set of scores that had previously shown as sent now says Pending. Unbelievable.
I called the CB just now. They are going to ‘escalate’ the situation, but all that means is that I will be contacted 3-5 days from now. Ridiculous. I also got a survey afterwards that asked ‘Based on this interaction, would you recommend College Board to a friend?’ WHAT??? Hell no, but it doesn’t matter since they have us all held hostage. We have one more score to send for a January RD app. Cannot wait to be done.
@CAMidwestMom
SAME SAME SAME. I just checked it changed to “PENDING” now. I do not understand what kind of job is CB doing now, not to mention ignoring endless cheating in Asia. I figure it out a little bit. Perhaps it is not the colleges that did not receive scores, it is the CB that never actually sent the scores but showed us “yep we have sent”
^ and you know what. The colleges that I apply as EA will have to push my application to RD if they do not have my scores by December 1st. Honestly, as an international student I am more than disappointed with CB.
@rhandco Thank you for your suggestion. However now it is different. CB changed my score sending status from “sent” to “pending” which I tried to come up a way to understand but failed.
An Update on Electronic Score Report Delivery for the SAT
Last modified: Nov. 16, 2015
Beginning with the October 2015 SAT administration, the College Board is delivering score reports to colleges through a new electronic score reporting system.
At this time, all students are able to view their scores online, and the vast majority of scores have been delivered to colleges.
We are in the final stages of processing the remaining score reports and are working to deliver these scores as soon as possible. We’ve been communicating directly with affected institutions to help them address this situation and are encouraging them to be flexible when processing scores.
We understand that this is stressful for affected students. We apologize for the inconvenience this has caused families and colleges.

just saw it.
I’m really angry now. It’s November 17th, two days after the deadline, I ordered 5 scores an entire month in advance, and 4 more on the 29th. I was angry on the 2nd when they were still pending, but I didn’t call them. On November 4th, they were marked as sent. Am I supposed to believe that it was some glitch? That after a week of hundreds of angry parents calling daily, that all of my scores were magically marked sent by some glitch? And I check back November 16th, to see why no colleges had received my scores, and they are all still pending? What the hell? This was some happy accident? I’ve got 10 freaking applications riding on this. This wasn’t me doing crap at the last minute! I ordered my scores on October the 16th! I was angry enough when there was a 19 day wait instead of the 1-2 weeks I was promised! It’s been over a month! And are they going to refund me my 110 dollars? Now that at least 3 of my apps are being bumped to RD? Christ.
Other than calling all colleges that might slip to RD without scores, and notifying them of your CB status problems, and actually providing them with proof that you tried to get the scores on time, I’m not sure what to do.
You guys can’t be the only ones in this situation. It was bad last year, but it is much worse now that they are trying to force everyone into electronic score reporting, at least it seems so.
(but ADonkeyFly - you have 10 applications filed EA? Wow.)
@rhandco Yeah, my school encouraged us to file all apps before Dec 1st. “So we would have a nice christmas present.” And if my EA apps are pushed to RD, I’m screwed. My Transcript will look a LOT better after this semester finishes, and applying early with the crappy one will absolutely kill me if it is pushed back, especially if I can no longer be deferred.
Maybe the GCs are in league with the colleges to get application fees…
My son had 11 colleges on his list, but he applied to three initially, one ED and two EA. He applied to another with an early date for scholarship eligibility, but once he got his acceptances, he didn’t apply to the other 8.
It’s odd they want you to pay for applying to so many schools.
My son followed up with his first choice school (in state University of Maryland College Park) because he got accepted and also into scholars program but not into engineering. He inquired to make sure they received all SAT scores. He was surprised he didn’t get in because he had great SAT scores plus a 800 on math II subject area. He just found out today (MARCH 28!) that they never got his SAT II scores that were sent at the exact time as the SAT scores?? College Board said they were sent to 8 schools and and received by 8 schools all on Oct. 28, 2015. I do vaguely remember getting the College Board letter stating that score reports were late and that they were working closely with colleges to get scores to colleges in time for full consideration. I checked his scores and they all said “sent” so I figured we were one of the lucky ones.
Another problem I have with College Board is that the CB does not send a confirmation receipt of payment for scores so when I went back on Oct. 29th to be sure his scores were sent, I could not tell. So out of worry, I resent and REPAID to have scores sent again ($109.75 PLUS a $31.00 rush fee.) For some reason that CB was unable to explain to me today, they said the couldn’t rush the order after all and had reimbursed me the 31.00. Again, there was no correspondence from CB telling me they were unable send scores rushed or otherwise.
I am very frustrated and feel the CB is a racket that preys on parents and students who have no choice but to keep shelling out the money to get the scores out. We not only lost out on all the money we put out for my son to take the subject test and send the scores, BUT we also very likely missed out on the chance for merit aid at schools.
CB has offered to send an official letter to UMD stating that the scores were sent in time yada yada, but I think at this late date it will not help. RD and ED are already made, merit aid has already been awarded, and my son is left disappointed at “what could have been.”
