Why pre-med?

What do people go to med school for? I'm not pre-med, so I don't know.

I don't know what your quesiton is.

... medical school (either MD or DO) is the only way to become a doctor. So you go to medical school if you want to be a doctor.

Well, the last time I tried to cut into a patient with a scapel, they didn't like the fact I hadn't gone through med school or residency. That's personally why I'm going to med school.

That's why you need to sedate them first. You can either use force (punch or kick) or chloroform ("does this rag smell like chloroform?"). Careful though! Too much of either can be fatal.

Pre-med is a program, not a major, correct? So, if you are accepted to a college that has a pre-med program, are you automatically allowed to be part of their pre-med program, or do you have to apply for that as well?

Pre-med isn't a program. It's a set of courses you need to take (1 year gen chem w/lab, 1 year organic chem w/lab, 1 year intro bio, 1 year physics, 1 year english, 0-2+ semesters math). So anybody who takes those classes can be "pre-med".

In some schools you gotta keep a certain GPA to be classified as "Pre-Med." At my University you gotta have at least a 3.0 GPA to be able to apply to medical school and get references from the premed advisor, etc.

I don't understand that concept but w/e my GPA is above that anyways lol
