"Now 330-350 people per year get it,"

well, to my knowledge, the CB just changed the policy this past year, making the class of 06 to be the first with this "advantage"
meaning no one has any idea how many ppl will get the award as jrs. We'll see though. I doubt the number will soar that much.

haha because it was free.
I self studied AP micro and macro got fives. I also self-studied comparative government and got a four. Only reason was because i didn't need to pay 85 dollars. Read the book a week before.

I think it really depends on what you self-study. Big topics like calc, bio, euro, us, languages, etc. are hard to self study because there is so much to learn. However, on those "other APs" like human geography, pysc, gvt, it's easier.

no danielsjang, the class of 2005 also got this advantage. In fact, I'm not pulling these numbers out of my ass, they're actually posted on the CB website. For example, in the fall of my junior year, i should have gotten ap scholar with honor according to the old rules, but instead i received AP Scholar with distinction.

twinkletoes23: why was it free for you? what state do you live in?
