Why Stanford is a good match essay?

<p>Stanford is my dream of dream schools but for the love of God I cannot get a great essay for this supplement question.</p>

<p>I know this sounds odd, but I'm at a stumbling block for this supplement essay. I am unable to visit Stanford, and I went to the Stanford info session which had 5 schools (ie harvard, duke, etc) so there was nothing too specific I could get. </p>

<p>I've read the website and the brochure, but I cannot get an essay that's vivid (mine sounds almost like the brochure: great faculty, brillianr students, blah blah) So I was wondering if anyone had any tips for sounding more...alive/excited. </p>

<p>I'm applying EA, by the way. This is the last thing for me to finish</p>

<p>Try reading the Fiske guide description - my daughter found it helpful for several of her ‘Why this college’ essays. They have really detailed writeups, very different from the Princeton Review which is more snapshot. Your counselor will undoubtedly have a copy.</p>
