What do you find most unique/appealing about Stanford? And please don't focus on California weather... =)

Go research. The Stanford Viewbook has a ton of great information.

That said, it also depends on what you’re trying to study. I personally like the faculty in the economics program, for one.

Not meaning to sound rude, but yes, I have seriously researched Stanford. I just wanted to know what other applicants found interesting about it. Civil/Chemical engineering, probably. Thanks for responding, by the way. =)

Because Stanford.

o_O Ohhh…thanks! =)

Why not???

because stanford beat USC, that’s why.

^that was quite an impressive performance by stanford, i must say

^I concur with that statement.

You mean U$C. kal’s next!

I’ve heard the weather is really nice in California.

i can tell you my child, who is a junior at stanford , LOVES it. The school has everything…amazing academics, gorgeous campus, a very free and open, entrepreneurial vibe. Everyone seems happy to be there and very challenged by what they are doing. There are so many opportunities at the school and within their sphere of influence in silicon valley and beyond. And it’s got great weather too!

Is there enough to do on campus? I ask because Stanford wasn’t ranked highly in this area (“More to Do”) by Princeton Review. It was in the top 10 along with the military academies.

Plenty to do on campus. I was considering more urban schools, and was afraid there wouldn’t be enough to do on Stanford’s campus. It turns out I was completely wrong–I never have enough time to do even a fraction of what Stanford has to offer (purely in terms of events).

Thanks, everyone!
