schedules are incredibly flexible, and you can just say oh i can't come in i have a ****load of work to do, and they'll be like ok thats fine, school >>>>> work.

and the min hrs is like.. i don't know, i've been doing 10hrs a week but i think its supposed to be 12.

they send people from puzzles to bcaf lol

and it's really better when its busy (but not too much) because time goes by faster.

I have a work-study job, that I got off the FAO website.
I sent out about a dozen generic emails, with my resume attached, stating that I was interested in the position and that if they had any questions to please contact me.
And ended up with 7 replies, 4 interviews and a decent job by the Monday of first week.

But this was all Fall quarter.

Just keep trying and get your resume around. Even if you don't get the position you applied for, your resume might get passed on someone in the same department looking for a work-study student.
Good luck. :)

wow. I love how I applied to 30ish work-study jobs and I had no more than one interview. thank you work-study and feb. 2 deadline yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.

If it makes you feel better a (very smart, very capable, and EXTREMELY nice) friend of mine was rejected by K-Mart for "failing" the personality survey.

Not work study, but hey... it's K-Mart. Anyone can get a job at K-Mart.

"...the work-study jobs that I am entitled to are not obliging."

You're not entitled to a job, and employers are not there to oblige you. It may be that your attitude of entitlement is turning off potential employers. Dude.
