Why would someone tap you on the head?

<p>I had an adult I know a while ago put his hand on my shoulder and lightly tap me on the head with his fist when he greeted me. It didn't hurt or anything, but...</p>

<p>What? Why would you tap someone on the head? That's so weird. Is it some custom I'm missing out on?</p>

<p>Just makes me angry that someone would lightly tap my head. What does that even mean?...</p>
