I know it's pretty broad but I just want to get a sense of why you guys chose the university (the social, academic, and other aspects).

This thread already has some people's opinions, if you'd like to take a look:

I think the students are what really attract me to Yale- they're all amazing and accomplished, and I think that just being in an intellectually stimulating environment would be a reward in itself.

You might want to check out the thread 'what's yale's thing'... there are some good answers there that you might find interesting.

edit: yup, bobisbob is right on, haha, I'm just a minute late.

o~~Yale...I love it!and I hope it will love me: )

Most replies to this question discuss the residential colleges and housing, but I want to ask: why is Yale different with respect to education? What would you find at Yale that is not offered in any other school?

Wow, the posts on this thread have been fairly sporadic throughout its history.

small class sizes, motivated and passionate students, fantabulous professors…that’s just to mention a few.

This thread probably has the highest views/replies ratio I have ever seen on this website (~10,000/7).

^ Indeed, startling.

lol for all we know, the original poster could be at yale right now…

You never know; but he has not logged in for nearly three years.

there are numerous threads on this, look at one of the other ones, if I keep posting why I love Yale on all of them I’m going to get accused of spamming :P

Well, the OP got into Yale as well as Harvard and a couple of Ivies, but he chose Harvard instead.
