Hi all. I was accepted by both Drexel and Widener, applying for chemical engineering. Im not planning to live on either of the schools campuses, so that's not a factor. Both schools tuitions are 36K. Widener awarded me with a 33K financial aid and Drexel with a 9K financial aid. What would you do?? Thanks in advance!

…This is a ridiculous question. No doubt Widener. Unless you find debt enjoyable.

I’m with you. Just wanted an extra opinion!

It don’t think it’s ridiculous to consider a more expensive school if you think it will make you more valuable in the future. In this case, though, I think that Widener’s reputation as an engineering school is well-known in the area. So, assuming that you are staying in Philly area, I think going to Widener and choosing the co-op option would be a good choice. It’s true that Drexel would give you more co-op opportunity, so, if that’s important to you, than choose Drexel. However, as far as reputation and quality, I think they’re comparable.
