WIDPSC - worth it?

Hi, I’m south korean student participating in World Individual Debating and Public Speaking Championship
(WIDPSC) 2017, held in Australia as a national qualifier (member of team Korea).
I’m investing seriously a lot of effort and time (+money) for this, and I’m not quite sure if this championship is worth doing all this. Is WIDPSC widely known in US or at least worth writing in my college application?
And also I’ve received an offer to participate in an Odyssey of Mind world finals, held in US this May. Should I take this offer?

All these may sound rude, but this is a serious concern for me :frowning: I’ll be looking forward to seeing the replies. Thank you!

This is for private school only competition. All participants from private schools , 3 - 10 private school per country. Judges are parents/teachers (from private schools).
This is way for private schools kids to get “international” competitions on resume. They can call themselves “world champion” in persuasive speaking, interpretive reading, impromptu speaking, debating and After dinner speaker. It has nothing to do with real world speaking or debating competitions.
