<p>How is taking a WII over summer?</p>
<p>All of the writing classes this quarter are full this quarter and I need to take two by the end of this year..</p>
<p>Lottery with English 4W teachers. Check out syllabi of instructors (request) and then, choose from there. Finley was easier during the summer than during the school-year.</p>

<p>no, but sometimes certain classes require that you have it done.</p>

<p>I'm a second year.</p>
<p>I've asked the counselors and they basically told me that we need to finish both WII's by the end of sophomore year. This was news to me, so I might need to take one over the summer and Spring since I couldn't get a spot this Winter.</p>
<p>They also said that the consequence that you get if you don't finish it by then is they force you to take it as soon as possible (they put a hold on your records and call you in for an appointment).</p>
<p>Really now? That's kinda weird... I've known people who have completed W2 in their junior or senior years or waited and did them during summer sessions... </p>
<p>How can you take it when... they're never available by one's appointment time?!</p>
<p>A few third and fourth years have told me that they had their records put on hold... the PEER counselors said that this was the first quarter that they were "cracking down."</p>
<p>damn, now im really glad i go on CC. i'll probably take it during summer then.. why didn't anyone (orientation counselors) mention this during orientation?</p>

<p>I wonder if I can still take summer school if I have to skip the first week of second session. my study abroad ends august 7.</p>
