Wilderness Adventure Trip

I recently was accepted to Colgate and want to go on the trip. They have one option that is called the Bull Thistle. It has four different levels:1, 2, 2+, and 3. I am a varsity athlete and in very good shape. I have no actual experience mountain climbing but I have done outdoor adventure type things. If you have done this trip, what level did you choose, and why? Did you think you were prepared for it? Or was it too easy and boring for you?

I have no knowledge at all, but couldn’t you ask Colgate for their opinion? Someone in outdoor recreation – or some other place – ought to be able to tell you what all those levels mean. I’d guess, though, that the lowest level would be designed for the, um, less physical student which would exclude you. So you’d be choosing among the top three or even the two two levels. Me, I’d go for broke and see how tough I really was! But that’s just me. Give someone there a phone call and find out. Good luck, and have fun.
