Will a B my senior year impact my chances at the Ivy League?

As it stands right now, I will be getting a B+ in AP French this quarter, possibly the semester as well. How much will this impact my chance of admissions at Ivy League schools? For reference, I have an UW GPA from freshman to junior years of about 3.86 with some other B’s scattered throughout, good test scores, and decent to sub-par extracurriculars. I intend to major in engineering, nothing to do with French. Will this one extra B hurt my chances too much?

A B+ in AP French will not be the reason you will be rejected from any top school.

Agreed, if you don’t get it it will not be because of one B+ for one marking period in one AP class.

Figured as much, still got psyched though. Thanks!

Agreed, if you don’t get into an Ivy it won’t be because of the B. It might be because a student with a 4.0 GPA and 36 ACT may not get into an Ivy either. There are dozens of great schools you will be able to get into, so be sure and have a list of matches and safeties, as Ivies and Stanford and Chicago and others are lotteries for nearly any applicant.
