Okay I got 34E/29M/36R/31S with a 33 composite. I also have 670 Math Level 2, 670 Chemistry, 590 Math Level 1. I didn't take the SAT I. How will this look in the top colleges eyes? Also, would the fact I'm Canadian and these are from my first sitting help? Thanks for any advice.

1) You can only send one sitting at once, so they won't know how many times you took the test.

2) Why would being Canadian help you?

3) No, it will not compensate, since colleges take both set of scores into consideration. However, you SATIIs are decent enough, so they won't matter until you get into the top tier ofschools, especially because most schools ignore Math-1 anyways. Also, I hope you're not trying to get into engineering.

Actually, many schools say that they will consider the ACT in lieu of both SAT I and SAT II (until you get into the top tier of schools). In that case, you don't need to send your SAT II's at all, so the answer to your question is Yes. That should be true even if you do send the SAT II scores as well.

My son's college counselor recommended sending his ACTs to the schools he is applying to that require or consider SAT IIs since his ACT subscores in math and science are much better than his SAT IIs. She said they will look at those scores in lieu of his SAT IIs and will then also take his SAT 1 score as it is better than his composite ACT

Because the SATs are not very common in Canada. They arent needed to apply to college here, and I didn't even know about them until a few months ago.

Jeez, 670 is not a low Sat II...that's 86th percentile for most of them! Is it the best? No. But low is getting 300ish....average is about 500...keep that in perspective. I got a 670 on Bio (M) and thought OMG, how low!!! Don't worry about it! My brothers had the following SAT II's and got into the ivys of their choice (550, 690, 720) and (550, 670, 800)...if you have time, you could retake. Especially retake if you took all three in one sitting-I know I was nervous my first time.
