Will An Immediate Decision Day make my chances of getting accepted greater?

Okay, so I am going to be applying to Ramapo College Of new Jersey. They require a 3.3 and atleast a 1050 reading and math on the SATs. I kind of slacked off a lot in freshman and sophomore year and my grades were not the best. They werent horrible but i had a few A's B's and C's. So my GPA for those two years was a 3.2 but now this year i am doing so much better. My SATs arent too strong, but that is because i am not a good test taker. I took the Princeton Review and i still could only get like a 980 on the reading and math combined. Of course colleges really dont look at writing all that much and that is my strongest point! -_- Any way, Ramapo is going to be having an Immediate decision day and i was wondering if it would better my chances of getting in. I thought that since it includes and interview i would talk about how i had slacked off and how sports was taking a huge toll on my life because i ran CC, threw for indoor track and played softball. It would also give me a greater chance to talk more about myself. I have a very bubbly personality and I am a very interesting, well rounded person, so i don't think that my extra curriculars and my personality would really matter, or hurt me. I am just worried that if i do the normal rolling admissions, they would look past my application because i am border line, but i really want to go to that school. So i dont know what to do! Should i do the immediate decision day?? Help?

Immediate Decision Day from 2010 seems to require 1150 Math + CR.

You haven’t taken the real SAT right? And only took one practice test from Princeton Review. If so, go take the real SAT.

I just took the SAT May 6th and the results come back on the 24th…haha so i hope i did well!

I am not sure I would say that cross country track kept you from getting good grades. Lots of strong students ran track or participated in other time consuming EC’s. You could say you focused too much on cross country and learned that you have to make choices and decided to make academics a higher priority than sports even though you continue to participate to keep your body and mind well. You don’t want to say you can’t handle a sport and classes too. Just talk about learning to create balance that reflects your priorities. Talk about growing as a person through this process.
