Will an intended major on a freshman application jeopardize my chances?

I'll be applying to Berry college in the fall. One of the most popular majors they offer is the major I'm interested in (primarily the main reason I'm interested in Berry), which is animal science. If I put the intended major down, does it jeopardize my chances of acceptance or strengthen them? Because I planned on writing down Pre-Veterinary Medicine/Animal Science with a minor in Business Administration.

Also, an irrelevant question.
If I received a 24 ACT composite but a 15 math subject score, could that jeopardize me any? I have a 4.0 and highly interesting extra-curriculars pertaining to my academic study interest. (The college acceptance rate is 70%)
