Will an ISS because of Profanity to a Teacher Rescind my Acceptance?

An ISS is In-School Suspension, I don't know if its a commonly known thing or not but its basically a detention during the whole school day, but it might also count as a suspension in the eyes of colleges. So will this rescind my application?

i doubt it

Ordinarily I would say no but in this case, who knows. This doesn’t show very good decision making skills.

Truly doubtful, but it doesn’t hurt to call and check… Honestly though, I can’t see your offer being rescinded.

Ordinarily if you received an In school suspension? Also, you really shouldn’t judge people over the internet when you don’t even know the context of what happened. Try to keep snide comments to yourself.

I’m not sure there’s any context that justifies profanity to a teacher. Unless you just dropped your laptop or stubbed your toe and blurted it out or something, and he/she overheard. But if you actually directed an expletive at a teacher, there’s really no justifying that.

Not directed at the teacher, but in a conversation with the teacher. I didn’t say “f*** you”, I just dropped the f bomb while talking to her.

I think you’re pretty much safe. Your HS would have to have some sort of vendetta against you for them to report this to your college (and even if they did, it doesn’t outweigh the good you did to get in to the college in the first place).

If you don’t want comments on your actions you shouldn’t post to forums online.

I highly doubt it.

But I have this to say:

Smooth move, Ferguson.
