Hello. So I will be a senior in hs in the fall and plan on applying early decision to Boston University. Will applying early give me a higher chance of getting in if my grades are a little low? Also if I don’t apply for financial aid will this give me any advantage? Thank you!
Applying ED sure gives you a step up and not applying for financial aid will give you an advantage surely .
If you do not apply for financial aid in the fall you cannot apply for aid after acceptance. Can your family afford $70,000/year for 4 years?
I couldn’t find the early decision acceptance rate but if you know BU is your first choice, I’d definitely recommend applying early. I believe they have two early decision options.
64,473 students applied for 3,300 freshman spots.
Regular acceptance rate: 22%
4,492 students applied early decision.
Applicants’ average GPA is 3.66, average SAT score is 1359, and average ACT score is 30.
