I just found out that Trinity is not need blind.

I have decent stats:
SAT: 2170 (cr640/m800/w7300)
GPA: 4.0
Rank: 13/7?? (top 2%)
Took like 11 AP's and passed all exams (mostly 4s and 5s some 3s)
EC: Good.Consistent leadership position in few clubs. Also, I volunteer a lot, and I intern at a big local hospital.
T Rec: Good
C Rec: average
URM (Asian)

BUT i'm applying for Financial Aid (I think a lot). Will this jeopardize my chances?

BTW is Trinity really cliquey?? Do Asians intermingle with the majority white people?

I would go ahead and apply. Trinity College has alot of money. They may not be need blind, but they can be pretty generous with financial aid. It can’t hurt to try.

[Trinity College](http://www.trincoll.edu/Admissions/FinAidProspective) seems to describe need-based financial aid, and there’s no mention of merit money, but the page has the ambiguous statement “A portion of the Colleges endowment has been specifically reserved for scholarship purposes” where “scholarship” traditionally means merit money, i.e., based on the scholarship achievement of an applicant.

Trinity does meet full calculated need, which is indeed generous compared to schools that don’t meet full need. The fact that Trinity is need-aware should be irrelevant to you; does it make you want to go there any more or less?
