Will chance back! Chance me at Harvard, Stanford, Princeton, and Yale!

Hey guys, I would love for you all to chance me at Harvard, Stanford, Princeton, and Yale. I just submitted all of these schools, now I just have to wait! I’ll chance back–I promise!

Grades: Straight As throughout high school, one A- in reading comprehension in 7th grade, think I’m toward top of class

SAT: 2380 one sitting (800 math, 800 critical reading, 780 writing–9 on essay lol if anyone cares)

SAT subject scores: Math II 800, Bio (E) 780, Spanish (with listening) 800, Chemistry 760 (freshman year, ahah did not include this one)

AP classes/scores: Calc BC 5 (AB subscore 5), Bio 5, Spanish 4, Chemistry 4 (lol also freshman year planned to retake but didn’t get around to it), Comp Sci A 5, English Lang 4, APUSH 5, gov 5 (to test out at my school, super easy after APUSH haha)

GPA (unweighted): 4.0
GPA (weighted): 4.5
Class rank: top 10% (class size 600)

Essay quality: My common application essay was pretty good I think, I wrote about a trip to Chile where I worked with a feminist organization intending to promote women’s rights in Chile. The AP English teacher and college counselor at my school were both impressed.

My supplements were also all good I think lol let’s hope I’ll need it.

Extracurriculars:
my biggest thing was that I worked in a stanford lab every summer and wrote a scientific article that got published in a journal I really want to go into biology so this relates to my major (also got a rec from the head of the lab)
NHS president (should this have gone first??)
President of QuizBowl club (we won regionals two years in a row during my “reign” haha)
Varsity tennis 4 years, lower end of varsity team (but voted most improved by coaches)
volunteered at local veterans’ center because my great-grandfather was a veteran and I look up to him (one of my supplements talked about him)
founder of feminist club at my school, started it and got 50 members
volunteered at tennis program for low-income elementary school students
paid tutor in math and biology for middle schoolers
principal trumpet (9-12) in a youth orchestra, played at Carnegie Hall (lol no one came but it was cool)

teacher recs:
should be super good, I tutored my English teacher’s 7th grader in biology all through my junior year and I didn’t accept any money so she probably loves me haha

Now I just have to wait and see what happens, but please chance me for my peace of mind! No need to be nice–be totally honest! I’ll chance back!

Sounds like typical ivy student except your lack of awards on a state or even school level might hurt you.

Honestly, your common app might be good but I’ve heard that one should’t write about overseas community service because that isn’t unique with top college contestants. But if you think your essay is good, then forget what I said lol.

Looks like a reach for me. You look good but might borderline harvard or stanford material or other top colleges. But this is based on other CC posters

You are right in there. Your Chile experience sounds more noteworthy than your average mission trip. If that is the case, I’d write on it.

What did you do in your lab experience? It was 5 days a week for how many entire summers?

I’m pretty sure as you know, the colleges you mentioned are all reach for everyone. No one can exactly predict it.

For my opinion, I think you have the scores and everything and some very god EC’s, so it will all come down to your writings.
So to be fair, I’d say mid-reach for all

You should include your 760 in Chemistry…

Sorry but posting chance threads, especially posting them in the wrong forum, decreases your chances significantly. You better get ready to apply again next year.
